How your data is used

What is kept

Only what airports ask for on their own forms: your name and company, address, phone, email, CAA Operator ID and Flyer ID, your date of birth, your drones, and the flights and requests you create. NATS asks for the date of birth and home address, which is why they are here at all.

Why

To fill in permission requests for you and to remember them between devices. Nothing is sold, shared or used for advertising, and nothing is sent to an airport until you send it yourself.

Where

In this site's own database. Your password is stored only as a scrypt hash, so it cannot be read back.

How long

Until you delete it. Erasing your account removes everything immediately.

What you can do

Export everything held about you, correct it on the Profile page, or erase it, all from the Account page. No need to ask.

Worth knowing

The airspace check is a guide, not an authority. It is built from published aeronautical data and is approximate near a boundary. Confirm on the Drone Assist map or in the aeronautical information publication before you fly, and remember that permission from an airport is not permission to break any other rule.
